Nice video montage!
Kingston, NY is rich in history.. first settled in 1651, and was the first New York capital city. WIKI link:
The area of Kingston did have a lot of quartz and bluestone deposits. This link shows some of the minerals found in New York State, but the page links are broken for some images. Marvelous how Nature can create precious ores in certain areas, and other minerals elsewhere.. but can sometimes mix them in others!
